Google Analytics, only if you accept

The site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to know how many people visit it, where they come from, which pages they read and on which device. It helps me understand what is worth writing, not to profile you: I don't use advertising and I don't sell data.

Until you press “Accept” in the banner, Tag Manager and Google Analytics don't load: no cookies and no requests to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics stores the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies, which last up to two years. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you want.

The data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Limited, with possible transfers to Google LLC in the United States, covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

What stays in your browser

Your choice on the banner (accept or decline) stays saved in your browser, so I don't ask you again on every page. It is technical data and it doesn't leave your device.

Hosting and external content

The site is hosted by Vercel, which records technical data about requests, such as IP address and browser, to make it work and to protect it.

The Startability startup pages include the Spotify player: it is Spotify content, and Spotify's own privacy policy applies when you use it. Links to LinkedIn, Instagram and the other social networks take you off the site, where their own rules apply.

If you write to me

If you send me an email, I use your address and what you write only to reply to you. It doesn't end up in any newsletter.

Your rights

You can ask me to see, correct or delete your data, and object to its use, by writing to the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it).
